Amazon and Whole Foods Market today launched delivery of natural and organic products from Whole Foods Market through Prime Now in 10 new cities including Charlotte, Las Vegas, Memphis, Nashville, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, Phoenix, Raleigh, Seattle, Tucson and expanded to additional neighborhoods in New York City, Los Angeles and Dallas/Ft. Worth.
Amazon acquired the high-end grocery chain last year for $13.7 billion. The deal helped the company control yet another retail vertical, taking on services like Fresh Direct with grocery delivery. Now, they’ve applied the prime membership to the shopping experience at Whole Foods Market and it includes delivery.
Starting today, Prime members in those cities can shop through Prime Now for thousands of items including fresh produce, high-quality meat and seafood, everyday staples and other locally sourced items from Whole Foods Market and enjoy delivery in as little as an hour. Now available in 38 cities, the service launched earlier this year with plans for continued expansion across the U.S. throughout 2018.
“Prime Now delivery continues to be a hit with our customers and we’re excited to introduce the service in ten new cities plus more areas ofNew York, Los Angeles and Dallas/Ft.
