In celebration of its 10-year anniversary, Meadows Bank, a full-service community bank headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada has donated $121, 750 back to the community through a matching donation program to Meals on Wheels, a Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada program.
Throughout the month of April, Meadows Bank received donations from shareholders, clients, partners and employees and wrote a matching check for all donations collected.
“Las Vegas has become an economically strong and vibrant city, allowing our clients and their businesses to grow and prosper,” said William Bullard, chairman of Meadows Bank. He added, “We are proud to be able to give back to this community that has helped get us to where we are today.”
Meadows Bank presented a check to Deacon Tom Roberts, President & CEO of Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada for the Meals on Wheels Program at a celebratory event on Wednesday, May 23, 2018.
“We are honored to give back to the community that has supported us through the past ten years and look forward to serving our community for the next ten,” said Arvind Menon, chief executive officer of Meadows Bank.
The Meals on Wheels program provides a daily meal (often times the only meal) to over 2,100 qualifying low-income and housebound seniors (and their pets) in Southern Nevada. And 800 more seniors are on the waiting list to receive meals.
“The Meals on Wheels program is so important in our community, allowing seniors to remain at home and out of hospitals and nursing homes,” said Jim King, Meadows Bank board member, director at R&R Partners, and chairman of the R&R Partners Foundation.
