Nevada Medical Center (NMC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of Nevada residents and visitors through improved access to quality healthcare and community collaboration, is now accepting nominations for its inaugural Eric M. Hilton Healthcare Collaboration Prize.
The prize, dedicated to honoring the late Eric M. Hilton, Founder of the Nevada Medical Center, was created to help the organization better recognize and reward select organizations within Nevada’s healthcare community that work together to find actionable and timely solutions that address our state’s most pressing healthcare needs, with a particular focus on preventative care.
“The Eric M. Hilton Collaboration Prize is designed to support the mission of NMC by allowing us to reward the amazing work healthcare professionals and volunteers are doing in the State of Nevada,” said Julie Murray, President of the Nevada Medical Center. “The challenging situations we’re facing as a state require the best and brightest minds in order to address them effectively. So, we want to encourage them to continue their invaluable work here.”
According to Murray, nominations for the award will be accepted through December 31, 2018. Nominators are expected to provide concrete examples of successful collaborative partnerships between healthcare practitioners and/or organizations that have occurred since January 1, 2018.
A total of two prizes will be awarded: A grand prize of $5,000 and a second-place prize of $2,500. Winners will be announced February 2019.
