The New $14-Million Skilled Nursing Facility is Under Construction and Set to Open Fall 2020
PureCare Living, a Las Vegas-based healthcare management company has started construction on Silver State Pediatric, a new 22,442-square-foot skilled nursing facility located at 2496 West Charleston Boulevard.
Developed and founded by PureCare Living, Silver State Pediatric will be the newest skilled nursing facility in Southern Nevada that specializes in post-acute care for children with traumatic injuries.
Pediatric patients in Southern Nevada are often transferred out of state to receive post-acute care for a trauma related injury. Silver State Pediatric aims to change this by allowing physicians to refer patients to their centrally located facility. In addition to traumatic injury care, Silver State Pediatric will also provide services for long-term birth defects, cognitive care and physical care.
“Here at PureCare Living we want to stress the importance of Nevadans taking care of Nevadans,” said Daniel Mathis, chief executive officer of PureCare Living. “Silver State Pediatric will give families the opportunity to have their children treated with experienced and trusted care close to home.”
Inside the Nevada-themed facility, each patient room is designed to accommodate overnight parent stays, activity rooms, therapy rooms and outdoor seating areas. The décor will include stimulating wall decorations to promote cognitive development.
“Our patients will receive ongoing stimuli from the moment they wake up to the time they go to bed through our physical, occupational and speech therapies,” Mathis noted. “Our activity coordinators on staff are trained to incorporate therapy throughout the patient’s everyday activities.”
The pediatric skilled nursing facility will employ healthcare professionals including medical directors, registered nurses, physical therapists, speech pathologists and occupational therapists. Every patient at Silver State Pediatrics will receive four hours of individualized direct patient care each day.
Silver State Pediatric is funded through Insight Investment Partners, a commercial real estate investment and management firm that offers accredited investors the opportunity to place equity in a variety of asset classes across broad risk profiles.
“The advent of the UNLV School of Medicine gave me an education before the School had its first graduating class,” said Jim Zeiter, founding partner of PureCare Living and managing partner of Insight Investment Partners, the sponsor of the investment. “Southern Nevada has always been challenged by the reputation that its healthcare services are not equal to or better than most major cities. This is our entry into changing those opinions.”
