The Super Summer Theatre continues its 44th outdoor Summer Series with “CHICAGO: A MUSICAL VAUDEVILLE” playing Wednesday, July 31 through Saturday, August 17.
In roaring ‘20s Chicago, chorine Roxie Hart murders a faithless lover and convinces her hapless husband to take the rap, until he finds out he’s been duped and turns on Roxie. Convicted and sent to death row, Roxie and another “Merry Murderess,” Velma Kelly, vie for the spotlight and the headlines, ultimately joining forces. The longest-running American musical on Broadway is a sharp-edged satire and a Bob Fosse classic.
Presented by Majestic Repertory Theatre and Super Summer Theatre, the majestic twist on this award-winning Broadway classic will have guests indulging in the notorious satire of celebrity criminals under the stars. Chicago is rated PG-13 for content, some dialogue, violence and thematic elements.
Tickets for the Summer Series are priced at $15 for general admission. Parking opens at 5 p.m. and Meadow Seating begins at 6 p.m. Super Summer Theatre is located at Spring Mountain Ranch, just 10 miles west of the 215/West Charleston intersection or 5 miles east past Blue Diamond from the intersection of Hwy 159 and Hwy 160.
