Sometimes we all need a break from our beloved Las Vegas Blvd and its cliché destinations. That’s why we at The Vegas Post have compiled a list of not only the most instagram-worthy hangout spots for Vegas Natives but also the shops that have their menus on-point. A list of places to prove that we indeed do have a city beyond the strip and that no, we don’t live in a hotel.
After a long, jittery evaluation, we have narrowed it down to our top 10 picks, some of which you may not have heard of, some you might be a regular at, and hopefully some that you are dying to try.
10. Sambalatte Torrefazione
Sambalatte, a dimly lit and artsy spot, gives the simple cappuccino a new feel. A vintage vibe with a Brazilian twist, this coffee shop is home to some of the most unique coffee beans from around the globe. Not only is the inside beautiful, but the artistry on the coffee itself creates the ultimate experience. They even have a rainbow latte and as their motto says, come by and “sip, savour and socialize.”
9. Loftti Cafe
Loftti Café brings the Japanese culture to Las Vegas by creating some of the most intricate coffee cocktails. Their specialty includes the “Latti” coffee including flavors like honeydew, lavender, red velvet, and even banana. And the best part– they add cotton candy to the top. Now, that’s the way I want to start my day.
PublicUs is truly a mini Barcelona in Las Vegas. With this hipster/euro vibe, this shop is perfect for the mini staycation you’ve been looking for. From their croissants, to their avocado toast, to their skillet with the absolutely perfect poached egg, PublicUs is the exact getaway you need to get some work done or even to impress a client.
7. Leone Café
One of my personal favorites, Leone Café is located in the heart of Tivoli Village. With their grand outdoor seating area, this shop makes you feel like you’re roaming the tiny streets of Rome and accidentally stumbled upon this hidden gem. If you like Chai Lattes, make sure to try theirs…truly the best one in town. They also serve healthy lunch items, perfect for that 2019 diet we all know you started…and my two favorites are definitely the Grilled Salmon Salad and their take on the Steak & Eggs. Leone Café is the perfect place for Vegas, especially with our great weather almost all year-round.
6. Café Lola
Recently opened, Café Lola brought a little bit of France to Vegas. With the debut of their famous rose flower wall, Lola is the perfect photo op for a girl’s coffee date and especially for Frosé Fridays. From Donut Frappes & Frozen Cereal lattes, to wine flights, unicorn hot chocolates and afternoon teas, Café Lola will turn your coffee hour to an all-day event. Make sure to try their homemade Italian ice and don’t forget to create your own coffee design! Using an app called “Ripples”, you can pick any popular saying or picture, or even upload your own and their baristas will design it on your coffee. Café Lola is Insta heaven and as the wall says, “what Lola wants, Lola gets.” Go feed your inner Lola, ladies.
5. Café Darak
Located in Summerlin, this secret café is the coolest and trendiest place in town. The first thing you see when you walk in is a tent made to look like a Volkswagen bus that you and your friends can sit in and zip up, creating a private experience and my favorite part about Darak. Specializing in Nutella lattes and teas, Café Darak is extraordinary. And let’s not forget the little trinkets that come out on your coffee platter. This place really feels like it’s out of a storybook.
4. Toast Society Café
Toast Society Café is every girls dream, full of pink velvet seats, white walls, cute paintings, and the most appealing flights of toast you’ve ever seen. Co-founded by the lovely Rachael’s Good Eats as seen on Instagram, this café specializes in gourmet toasts including the “Breakfast Crunch”, “Toast & Lox”, the “Perfect Pear” and a few more amazing toast concoctions. With a coffee bar as well, this café has the best ambiance staging the perfect Instagram post that your out of town friends will die over.
3. Mothership Coffee Roasters
Mothership Coffee Roasters, located in Henderson, NV, has one of the most adorable and lively atmospheres in the city. They import their coffee beans from Peru, Guatemala, Brazil, and Ethiopia making the array of coffee tastes a wide one. Make sure to try their nitrogen infused cold brew as well as their undeniably amazing pastries. (You can even buy a jug of cold brew for home!) The perfect place for an R&R or to study. Mothership also owns another location called Sunrise Coffee, so make sure to check them both out.
2. Gäbi Coffee & Bakery
Gäbi Coffee & Bakery is the speakeasy of coffee shops. Hidden behind two unnamed wooden doors on Spring Mountain, these doors open up to the most insane Korean house including a giant greenhouse on the inside, a library/seating area in the back where you can climb and sit on, and the most urban and vintage designs you can imagine. No two chairs are the same at Gabi and whether you want tea, a latte, or an exquisitely designed rainbow pastry, you’ll find it all here.
1. Makers n Finders
And for #1..Makers n Finders is our absolute favorite with two locations in Las Vegas, one in Downtown Las Vegas and another in Downtown Summerlin. This coffee shop not only has the best tasting coffee, but an unparalleled Latin style making it stand out. From their Coconut Turmeric Latte, to their Salted Caramel Latte and Mexican Spice Latte, nothing on their menu will disappoint. And even better, they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner so no matter if you’re just going for a quick afternoon latte or a full dinner date, they have got you covered.
