I wanted to take a moment to personally welcome you to The Vegas Post, the newest online news site dedicated to all things Vegas. If you’re reading this, we’ve done something that pulled your attention away from something else. We want to thank you in advance for taking the time to learn about us and apologize if you are one of the few special people that we added to our email list in order to make sure you know we exist. We hope you understand and appreciate the hustle. Anyway, here’s what we want you to know about us:
We’re on a mission to inform our city better. It’s as simple as that. We’re not saying the other local publications are doing it wrong. Our motivation stems from our team’s genuine passion for contributing to the depth and diversity of content that tells the story of our city. Whether it’s 10 Ways The Vegas Golden Knights Made Las Vegas a Better Place to Live or something weird a local politician liked on Twitter, we cover what happens in Vegas online and IRL. This is our obsession. Anything that impacts our city is our business and the business of everyone that lives here. We are dedicated to making sure even the smallest of stories can reach the members of our audience that need it the most.
We believe a small team of journalists or a single reporter who’s not afraid to hit hard and do the big stories can punch way above their weight and play an important role in culture, society, and the political process. They can break huge stories that hold powerful forces accountable and keep residents informed about their surroundings regardless of format or bad taste in GIFs. We also believe that our city has the right to have access to alternative perspectives on the happenings and situations that impact our lives every day.
We can’t guarantee that every opinion or story published on this site will be done so without bias. Any publication that claims to be completely objective is lying. However, we can guarantee that if you disagree with a piece of content on our site, we will give you an opportunity to provide an opposing argument to our audience as a contributor. If you find something inaccurate on our site, please correct us. Transparency and balance will forever be at the the heart of The Vegas Post.
That being said, if you or someone you know has a story, opinion or video that has the capacity to positively impact Las Vegas, highlights the awesome people, places or things that exist here or exposes an injustice to the community, we want to hear from you. We also want to hear from you if you’re an expert in your industry and would like to contribute content that can bring our readers informational or entertainment value.
Thanks again for taking the time to read, watch and/or listen to our content. We look forward to earning your trust and helping our city be the best it can be. Click here to submit a news tip, make a contribution pitch or inquire about becoming a promotional partner of The Vegas Post.
